Cult of the golden Sun

I am trying to mix terrain build projects with a bit of painting just to keep things interesting for me.  After all the garages last week I decided to paint a few more Artizan pulp figures, this time some hooded cultists.  I feel that cultist are a mainstream of pulp adventures providing minions for the villains of the story.
First up is a jailer, and a not too conscientious one at that as he has his hood up in order to smoke a cigar.  You can tell he is the jailer as he carries a set of large keys in his hand.

This time the figure is hooded and carrying a pistol.  A very useful type of grunt.  These are simple figures without a huge amount of unnecessary detail and so quite straightforward to paint.

This last one of the group is unarmed so maybe a little bit new to the 'kidnapping helpless females and sacrifice them to an unknown god' line of work.

A group shot of the cult membership so far.  I have another three part painted at the moment and they will probably join the ranks at some point next week.

On a different note, I received notification that my figures from the 'war and empire' kickstarter have been posted and I am eagerly awaiting their arrival.  Hopefully they will not join the pile of unpainted figures from my other two figure kickstarters......
That's all for this post, have a good few days :)

    1. I thought the white would be good for in the desert and I haven't used purple for a little while!

    1. Thanks Zabadak. I do like Artizan figures. I was thinking of going for a red and purple scheme but thought it might be too much.

  4. As Zaba-daba-doooo - sorry! - I mean Zabadak said, it's a good contrasting scheme, effective and looks good

Is the motif on the chest sculpted onto the figure or is that all your own work?

    1. Thank you. The chest motif is a plain disc. I just painted it gold. I think I should have tried something more challenging but I think I bottled it a bit!

    1. Thank you:) I agree that they are great figures and I think they turned out all right. The others are part way through and should be finished over the weekend to be shown next week at some point.
