a bonus to being back to school....

Or Shed loads o' sheds!!!
In a previous post I spoke about the fact that I had built some garages but had not printed off enough roofs to finish them off.  Well, one of the good things about starting back to school is that I again have access to good quality printers and so have now finished this little job.

I feel that 3 double garages should be enough for most games I intend to play....
......especially as I took the opportunity to print and build seven single garages!
Again, all have removable roofs so that they can be searched for supplies.
Below is a picture of all of the sheds and garages together.  Surely this should be enough for most games I will play...
If not, I will have to build some more!

On another subject, my 5 yr old daughter has watched me paint and make things for all of her life and for the past year (at least!) she has asked to join in and has glues and painted to her hearts content as I sit at my painting table.  However, she has taken up more and more of the space.  In the shot below I am cramped into the left hand half (Ha!) of the table.
My wife then says "seeing as you both seem intent of painting and making things, do youi want a bigger desk?"
After looking for the trap I tentatively said yes..
And there was no trap!!!  I now have a nice new painting/modelling station :)
My half is to the right of the central leg and my daughter's to the left.  I no longer have to put figures away to make a model - I have room to have both on the go at once.  I have to point out that the table is no longer as empty as this.  When it is fully organised I will post an update :)
My daughter also loves her new space and has promised not to go onto my side....
Anyway, back to make another building :)
Have a good week!!

  1. You'll need to be careful there - extra space is an incentive to have more projects on the go!

Yup, that should be enough sheds and garages, I think :-) .

    1. I am going to restrict myself to only 2 or 3 painting projects on the table at any one time. I will let you know how I go with that........

  2. You've more buildings on one table than I've got in my entire collection CW. Very jealous. They look very good though. Very good :-)

    1. Thanks Blax, but these were very easy to do. The joy of foamcore buildings is they do add up quickly to be a useful set.

  3. Great load of sheds. Mightily impressed at your new hobby space, I live on the end of my dinning table. Like Blaxkleric your sheds outnumber my entire building collection at the moment, colour me jealous.

    1. I, too, am more used to being perched on a much smaller table. It feels nice to have a bit of elbow room for a change!!

  4. I am impressed by the amount of garages you've made, Chris. Yes, that should be plenty for your needs. Your new desk looks great. You have far more space than I do. Also, it is great that your daughter is taking an interest in your hobby. Tales like this make me very happy.

    1. she normally finds a use for all the foamcore off cuts and turns them into .......something! nothing gets wasted :)
I probably will never use all the garages on the same table but there may be that one game where I will need them all.........

  5. That's a lot of sheds and garages :)

Nice desk, but you might want to get one of those desk dividers to prevent encroachment ;)

    1. Thank you and I am liking the desk too. Makes things much easier when you can actually spread your elbows a bit.

    1. I think it may be a battle getting her to tidy up her side. Mine has my next building in pieces all over it :)

  9. Love seeing all the sheds, that's great.

The new table looks perfect for two, I'd be very happy to see my kids start crowding my space to paint and game, so that's awesome

  10. That's a great workspace CW and I reckon that's enough garages for anyone. It is good to read that your daughter "helps" you ;)

  11. I enjoy the help most of the time but occasionally she helps herself to things I am using in order to complete her 'craft'!!
